Classroom Chromebook Cart

Purpose: This article provides applicable staff with an overview of the Chromebook charging cart used in their classroom.
Notes:
Each cart contains 30 chargers
Teachers will not have access to the back panel of the cart, where the device chargers are stored.
Teachers will not be issued keys to lock the charging carts. If you believe you have a specific need or special circumstance that warrants access, please contact the Help Desk.
Summary: Our standard classroom charging cart is the Power Technologies AC-LITE, which holds up to 30 devices along with their chargers. Carts are pre-configured by the IT department and require no setup by staff.
One of its most important features is the built-in 15-minute cycle timer. When the cart is plugged in, the AC-LITE begins by charging 15 devices connected to the "A" circuit for 15 minutes. It then automatically switches to the "B" circuit to charge the remaining 15 devices.
This alternating charge cycle continues as long as the cart is powered on. To stop the cycle, simply press the External Illuminated LED Power Button—charging will stop when the light turns off.
