Purpose: The purpose of this article is to provide staff an overview of Securly Classroom


Summary: Securly Classroom is a classroom management tool designed specifically for teachers in 1:1 Chromebook environments allowing them to guide student digital learning more effectively with features like: 

  • Quickly push student devices to selected sites

  • Close distracting tabs or open tabs on student devices remotely

  • Lock students into specific websites or resources during tests or lessons

  • Freeze student screens to regain attention instantly

  • Send messages directly to students to check in or provide support

  • And much more…

You’ll be able to keep students focused, give quick redirections, and gain insight into student engagement in real time. Securly Classroom is web-based and easy to use. No downloads, just log in with your district Google credentials and you're ready to go.

Troubleshooting:

Missing Classes? Check to see if they’re just archived. That’s something that teachers have the ability to do, and might archive the wrong class by mistake. Unarchiving the classes can be done in bulk for the teacher by bringing up their classes, selecting the list view (three lines on right) and then selecting all of the classes that you wish to have unarchived.
