Transferring Data from a Google Account

Audience: Staff, Students

Purpose: The purpose of this article is to demonstrate how to copy or transfer content from one Google account’s Drive to another.

Notes:

  • This is useful for high school seniors or students leaving the district to keep their data before their accounts are deleted.

Transferring Data

  1. Log into your ICCSD Google Account.

    1. NOT YOUR PERSONAL ACCOUNT

  2. Go to https://myaccount.google.com/

  3. Click on the option that says Start Transfer

 

 

  1. On the following page, enter the email address you would like your data to be transferred to.

    1. Your personal Google account.

  2. Click the Send Code button once your email address has been entered.

 

  1. On your Personal Google account, wait for the confirmation email from Google.

    1. Once you have received it, there will be a link inside that will give you your code.

  2. Enter the code on the transfer page and click verify.

  1. Choose which data you would like to transfer from your ICCSD account to your personal account.

  2. When finished, click Start Transfer.
