Connecting PC to Wireless Display (Windows)

Audience: Staff, Students

Purpose: The purpose of this article is to show how to connect a Windows PC to a wireless display.

Connecting

1. Click the Action Center icon on the taskbar.

   1. It will be located on the bottom right of the screen.

   2. You may need to click Expand to view all options.

2. Click the display for your room in the list that appears.

   1. The device name should correspond to the room number.

3. Enter the PIN for the display

   1. The PIN is a 4 digit random number you will get from the projected screen.

   2. If your projector doesn’t display a pin, call the help desk (x4357) to have them check the wireless display settings for your room.

4. If you need to use the interactive functions of the projector (pen, touch), make sure to check the Allow mouse, keyboard, touch, and pen input box.

   1. Your computer may freeze for a couple of seconds as this applies for the first time.

5. To choose between duplicating or extending the laptop display, hold the Windows + P keys.

6. If you are having trouble connecting after following these steps, restart your device by clicking on the Start Menu button, then power, and finally restart.

   1. Repeat steps 1-5 after your device has restarted.

7. When you are finished connecting, repeat steps 1 and 2

   1. Then click the Disconnect button.
