Purpose: The purpose of this article is to demonstrate how to record your screen using Screencastify.

Summary: Screencastify allows you to capture your entire desktop, browser tab, or webcam in a video. You can embed your webcam anywhere in your recording, narrate with your microphone, and annotate using tools within the program. The software runs via an extension in your Google Chrome browser.

Notes:

  • Students should have Screencastify installed on their 1:1 Chromebook automatically. If a student does not have the extension, please contact the Help Desk with the student’s name, email, and Chromebook tag number.
