Interactive Projector Non-Connection Overview
Audience: Staff
Purpose: The purpose of this article is to guide staff in using the projector’s built-in whiteboard functionality independently of a computer.
Summary: Without connecting your computer, you can use your projector as a digital whiteboard. Saving is not an option in this mode. Advantages to using a digital whiteboard versus your physical whiteboard with dry erase markers include:
Variety of backgrounds (black/white, lined, grid/graph)
Variety of ink colors
Ease of selecting line thickness
Speed and thoroughness of clean-up/erasing
Steps
Start by turning on your projector using the remote.
Hover your interactive pen near the board.
You will see an arrow and pen icon (see image) on the far right (or left) side of your screen.
Click the arrow to launch the Drawing Toolbar.
At the top right corner of the Drawing Toolbar, select the whiteboard icon (see image).
This will open a blank whiteboard.
To change the background, select the background icon (see image) from the Drawing Toolbar.
You can now use your board as a digital whiteboard.
You will not be able to save work done while in this mode.

Using the Onscreen Timer
Another useful function available without connecting your computer is the onscreen timer.
This can be opened by selecting the timer icon from the bottom toolbar (Projector Control Toolbar).
