Troubleshooting Wireless Streaming
Audience: Staff, Students
Purpose: The purpose of this article is to troubleshoot common issues with wireless streaming.
Summary: ICCSD uses a projector together with a wireless presentation device, called a ScreenBeam, to allow for wireless projection of computer presentations. Many wireless connectivity issues can be resolved with a simple reset of the ScreenBeam.
Resetting A ScreenBeam:
The wireless display/ScreenBeam is the small, black star shaped device located in your room.
If your ScreenBeam is mounted directly beside your projector and you can safely reach it, you may attempt to reset the device yourself by proceeding to the step below.
If your ScreenBeam is not mounted beside the projector or you cannot safely reach the device, please contact the Help Desk.
To reset the ScreenBeam, simply unplug the device’s power cord, wait thirty seconds, and plug it back in. Once it reboots, try connecting again.
ScreenBeam Reset Did Not Resolve My Issue:
Please contact the Help Desk.
Connect via HDMI:
Most ICCSD projectors have a redundant connection port located beneath the board.
With an HDMI, connect your laptop to the port labeled Computer.
If your projector does not automatically connect, you may need to change the input.
On your Epson remote, select Source Search.
Change the HDMI input (usually from HDMI 1 to HDMI 2).
When connected to the backup port, pens will function as pens, but mouse-functionality will be unavailable.
